Community living camp day - 3, 4 ,5 🎊

 DAY - 3

The third day of residential camp began with some leisure activities such as quiz, storymaking and quiz sessions. The first session for the day was ' Manam Thodum Mayajalam' an entertaining shiw by Mentalist Akshay Owens. The show was a thrilling experience to all.

            The next session was 'Manaveeyam' where a medical camp sponsored by Metro Scans and Laboratory, Kottarakkara. Adjoining this was a refreshment programme. 'Kappayum Kaapiyum'. The day came to an end with a DJ party. The students stayed over at the college that night.

       

DAY - 4

The following day was themed ' Vimojitha'. The first session for the day was Yoga and Meditaion by Rev. Fr. Jacob John from Chaithanya Medical Centre, Kottarkkara. After breakfast the next session was Zumba Dance by Mrs. Harimol from Hari Lifestyle Studio, Kollam. After zumba session, the next session was a cooking competition between groups.

                  The next session was yet another competition Camp News. Each group presented some fun instances of their camp experiences through their own creativity.

               The last session for the day was a nadan pattu session by Sri. Chenneerkara Shivarajan from Pathanamthitta Vaythaari and his team.

   

           

    DAY -5

Today was the last day of our Community living camp 2021- 2023. In the morning section 6.30 am a yoga practice section conducted by Kavya P. Kumar, Assistant Professor of English department in our college. After that closing session Start with prayer. The welcome speech talk by Roy Sir, college principal. This ceremony was inagurated by Sri.Nileshwaram Sadashivan Sir, Rtd.Head master and state government television award winner.The keynote address talk by Mr.Faisal Bashir, Standing Committee ON Development,  chairman kottarakkara, municipality. Camp report presented by Athira, camp leader.Greetings talk by Prinsamma .G. George, Vice principal, Leena Wahid, Assistant Professor and Govid ,Student representative and after vote of thanks by Jishnu ,Union chairman, the office session was ended.

                             After having lunch their is a informal section for prize distribution for the winner. The best team prize got by group Spashta. Our group kazhcha got prize for food competition.  Each groups won by each competition. Sridevi,  Social Science selected us for best volunteer . She got prize, given by Leena miss .Camp convenor Vineeth Sir appreciate each Committee leaders for their hardwork for the success of the Camp and each volunteers of the Camp. Finally our Camp ended with huge success. We all thankful to our dear teacher for making us a wonderful Camp experience.

   DAY -2

The second day of the residential camp began with students reporting to the college at 9:00 am. The themes for the second day was 'Samsarga'. The activities for the second day began with some fun games that was group wise competition. The first session was 'Thudithalam' by Punnapra Jyothikumar sir. The session was resplendent with rhythms and steps of nadanpattu.

               The next session was 'Niravu' by Sri. Brahmanayakam Mahadev who is an active presence in the field of special education.

Community living camp- EKAM 2023

Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training Colllege, Kottarakkara arranged a community living programme starting from 10 of April 2023 to 14 April 2023. The camp was named Ekam Residential Camp with the theme 'Inclusion'. The sub themes were 'Samyogana', 'Samsarga', 'Samatwa, 'Vimojitha and 'Oruma'. 

           The camp organized various classes, activities, conscientization programme, a medical camp for Kudumbasree workers and many more. The students were divided into five groups of 21 members each and the camp activities and duties were distributed to each group according to a proper schedule. Various cultural programmes were organized in the from inter group competitions.

     DAY -1  🎤

          First day of the camp themed 'Samyojana' began with the students reporting at the college at 8:30 am. After registration procedures, we had a brief assembly where we hoisted the college flag marking the commencement of the community living programme, EKAM Residential Camp'. Following the flag hoisting we had a formal inaugration ceremony. Camp Convenor Sri. Vineeth M., delivered the welcome speech, Principal Sri. G.Roy delivered the presidential speech. The ceremony was officially inaugrated by Kottarakkara Muncipla Chairman, S.R. Ramesh. The felicitations were delivered by the college manager Rev. Fr. M. Jacob, Staff Secretary Sri. Riju John, College Union General Secretary Sri. Jithin A.R., and vote of thanks was delievered by Camp Organizer Smt. Sheeja Chacko.

           After the formal sessions, it was time for the various sessions to begin. First session for the day was 'Athmarekha' by Smt. Sreemayi S.L. transgender activist, artist and a social worker. She conducted a wonderful class on the plight of LGBTQ+ community while recounting her experiences as an individual.

             The next session was 'Arangu Unarumbol' by Sri. Bharanikaavu Radhakrishnan who is a personality development trainer and a vibrant presence at summer vacation and other similar camps.
